we need to go soon. it only runs through may 31. i'll plan if people will tell me what weekend will be best. we could make the trip after brunch one sunday.

writing!
there's an interesting thread on one of leah's locked livejournal posts -- here's an excerpt from boudoir_loft's comment:

think we should revisit our idea to morph caputo mondays into a writing group. i think in addition to that we could arrange a sort of electronic writing collective -- a list of people we know who are willing to take and mark the hell out of a manuscript, with the understanding that the favor will be returned accordingly.

any ideas on how this could best be executed? a group blog, or an orkut group, perhaps?

i would love it, especially, if... this could extend to forms of writing like non-fiction (manifestos, magna cartas, critical commentary, etc.), screenplays, comic books, etc.

what do you guys think? you want to meet at my place on monday @ 7 to discuss the possibilities?

Legion of Doom Road Trip?

some of us are road tripping to Nashville for this.

we will leave on the 18th and return the 22nd/23rd. we have all registered as members of the Legion of Doom. there is a student discount and a group discount if we get 5+ people. there is still room if anyone is interested. lodging may be an issue, but that should not stop you. Kaus, Justin and I took a road trip to Minnesota in 2002 planning to sleep in the car. we ended up in a suite with a very cool guy from San Antonio. no suite guarantees of course. the unknown is part of the adventure.

saturday:

bethany is looking for someone to accompany her to the fry street fair in Deep Ellum. paco's band will be playing at 8pm. tix are $10 if you purchase tonight, $15 tomorrow.

let's brunch at the meridian room -- we can frolic through fair park (spring weather and murals on the sides of exhibit buildings!) afterwards.
